Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Abigail is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with sixteen years’ experience of working with clients to improve their mental wellbeing. She is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is presently employed within the Worcestershire NHS primary care mental health service. She is also a published author in psychological research.

As a Clinical Psychologist, Dr Abigail is trained in multiple types of therapy providing her with the advantage of tailoring therapy to match the goals and personal needs of her clients. Her core approach embodies values of connection, compassion, respect and support and offers a practical, clear plan towards recovery and wellness. Through guided discovery she works alongside her clients by applying a psychological understanding to their life struggles. Through this approach, clients gain insight into how to heal and are given practical tools to empower their recovery.

Dr. Abigail’s approach draws from a multitude of different therapeutic approaches all outlined in the NICE guidelines including CBT, Mindfulness, ACT and CFT, as well as many other approaches. Her special interests are in treating anxiety, depression, food problems (over eating/ obesity), life & wellness coaching and clinical supervision for therapists (both in private practice and within the NHS).

♦ Completed the British Psychological Society Approved Training to be a Clinical Supervisor (2014)
♦ Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, University College London (2006)
♦ BSc Honours (First Class) in Psychology, University of Wales (1999)
