Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a meridian energy therapy that involves the tapping of acupressure points to permanently relieve emotional trauma and unwanted negative optional states. It was developed by Gary Craig and is closely related to another approach called Thought Field Therapy (TFT). It is very effective in managing unhelpful beliefs and research suggests it can be effective for post traumatic stress and weight loss. It’s used to quieten the mind and long-term to reduce the recurrence of stress-related conditions. It is sometimes described as acupuncture without needles. It requires little or no need to explicitly talk about your issue to your therapist or though you may wish to do so.
